Yup, it's official... The Mister and I have been married for 1 year as of today. (well, about 4 hours from now...)
That day is all a blur in my head. I remember not being nervous all day, and somehow making it through pictures without putting too much of a fight up. The only time I got nervous was right before I walked dhttp://www.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=33121487own the aisle, when my dad took a really deep breath. Then I started freaking out a little bit. Even looking back on everything now, I get butterflies. :) Anytime I listen to the song we walked back up the aisle to, I can't stop smiling. It was a great time.
The year most definitely flew by, and it's been one of the best years of my life. There have been ups and downs, just like we knew there'd be, but through it all he's stood by my side and supported me through everything.
I love him now even more than I did the day I married him, and I am learning new things about him daily. Some of the facts I've learned about my Michael...
* He doesn't like the feeling of sand on his feet. Which I think is nuts. He told me about how when he went to the ocean when he was younger, he would wear his tennis shoes on the beach. Silly.
* He is competitive. When we play sports or games, I walk a fine line. It's pretty cute, how intense he gets. Until I get frustrated.
* He has his routines throughout the day. Whether it's getting ready for bed, or getting his lunch/dinner ready.
* He is an adorable sleeper. Unlike me, who looks like those people in those "your allergies bothering you??" commercials.
* He likes to have all the fancy technology I never cared about. Now that we have it, though...
* He doesn't like brown furniture. Although, I got him to agree to painting one room of our future house a dark chocolate brown. Yay!!
There is a ton more stuff, this is only skimming the top. What I'm trying to get across is that he is amazing. My best friend and partner in crime. I am so excited to see what the next year has in store for us. And all the years after that, for that matter. He's a great man and husband. I love him more than my silly words could ever convey.
It's been a more-than-amazing year. Bring on the rest.
much love,
alex
