In under a little closer to the wire tonight...
Here we are - the countdown to 1 year old! Less than two months to go. I'll have to start thinking about the one year stuff - pictures (inside or outside), cake smash (was really good about not giving Thad a lot of sugar prior to 1 year... Atti had like 3 cookies over the past five days), party (dual with Thad? None at all?) And I can't believe we're already just about 60 days away. Less than the length of my maternity leave.
Okay, okay, I'm done. It's been a busy month. Me pretending I wasn't spending too much money Christmas shopping (I was). Poor Thad caught strain A of influenza about 2 weeks after his strain B... and then I caught that, and then got pneumonia from that. Short stint of antibiotics and a steroid inhaler later I was mostly good. But then the day we left for our Christmas celebration at my parent's, I started getting worse again. By yesterday I figured I might as well run to urgent care so I didn't end up at the ER on Christmas. Sinus infection, bronchitis, some stupid virus that made my voice go away, etc etc. So more antibiotics, steroids... tough winter here sickness wise. The current hope is that Michael stays healthy before his trip for all his internship interviews. Good vibes and prayers for him January 4th-12th basically, I think we'd both appreciate it. He'll be doing a lot of driving and interviewing. My sisters are coming to my rescue to help me drive the boys around while Michael is gone (thank you, sisters!) and hopefully keep the boys alive.
3 months left of no driving!! No more seizures.
Big news! Sounds like Atti will be moving up to the 1s room at daycare in the next few weeks. Cue my "WHAT" tears. I can't believe we're already there. BUT since he's taking steps, they can classify him as walking and they think he'll do great in the 1s room. I'm worried about the one nap thing but... we'll see how it goes.
Which, he's "walking"! He's such a speed crawler he still does that, but he's getting better at taking 5-10 steps. So it begins.
Just got home today from our Wichita Christmases. Blessed beyond measure, as usual. The boys were spoiled. Lots of love and cuddles (and cold) and I don't know what I did to deserve any of it. But forever thankful.

- Atti's somewhere over 18 pounds, and I think closing in on 29 inches? I think he went through a little growth spurt recently... He's skinnied out a bit.
- Size 4 diapers at day, 5 at night. 12 month clothes mostly, starting to fit into some of his 18 month hand-me-downs (some of my favorites from Thad).
- 4 bottles a day, though he'd really rather just eat food all day. Between 6-7 oz unless he's busy doing other stuff.
- Still in NO TEETH land. BUT I think I felt one about to come through during bath time tonight. He won't let me look in his mouth. Of course.
- Even with the no teeth, he does a great job eating. He eats what we eat almost exclusively, and they're starting him on table food at daycare next week.
- I mean, he sleeps. Sometimes. I feel like he's gotten better? Or I've gotten used to it. I told my neurologist I was less sleep deprived so.. Hopefully I'm not lying to him.
- Speed crawler, master cruiser, able to stand by himself for basically as long as he wants to, and taking some steps! When he holds my hands to chase Thad around, he basically runs.
- Thinks Thad is the most hilarious. Thad is... slowly warming up to him.
- Hemangioma is still shrinking away. His doctor said she wants to see him back in six months to dilate his eyes again to make sure all is well but that will probably be it. So excited.
- He is super into only wanting me if he can see me. Sometimes I sneak away, but if he spies me, he's all sobs. Poor guy.
- Growing so fast. Learning so much. Already not wanting to my baby anymore. Killin me.
