Here we are - the last update before 2 years. I will say, normally it feels like a flash between these updates, but 18 months seems like forever ago at this point. I don't even know where to begin.

His language keeps improving, even with a couple more ear infections under his belt. He communicates well, and understands well (though listening is another story). As a family, we've settled into our fall routine. Michael's adjusted well to the VA, and it's nice knowing he'll be home by 5:30 every day and rarely has to leave at night. He's working on applying for jobs that start after graduation (May, but officially done in July), and I can't believe he's finally finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. (Job searching/applying/interviewing is a whole other stressor, but he's doing well.)
Work is still great for me. The boys are doing well in school - Thad's starting basic sight words, his coloring has much improved, and he's starting to do some small addition on his own too? Using his fingers.
Minus the ear infections, we're all relatively healthy for this time of year in our house. Fingers crossed the flu shots keep us healthy from that this year.
We're into the holiday season, and it's still so much fun. Quiet, but great Thanksgiving with Craig. We watched Santa get rescued here in town last night (annual event), and they were both very into that. We'll be going to the Christmas tree farm next weekend. Very busy month of December ahead, and I'm not such a fan of the snow that we've been lucky to really avoid the past few years.
I'm thankful and feeling the love. I may fall asleep earlier and easier than I use to, but they're worth it.
- 26.5 pounds, and 33.5-ish inches. Finally putting on some weight.
- 2T shirts (a few 3T), and mostly 24mo or 2T pants (they're big, but that's okay)
- Doesn't seem to like a lot of meat, for whatever reason. Doesn't eat as well when he's on his antibiotics. Definitely a snacker. His favorite foods are spaghetti, bread, hot dogs, chips, pizza, and yogurt. He'll still eat pouches most of the time. Gobbled up some veggies in hamburger soup the other day.
- Has 11 teeth, working on that last one year (!!!) molar. Such a slow teether.
- Sleep, as a whole, is better. Most nights he'll sleep until about 3 or so, and then it's touch and go after that until he gets up around 5:30.
- Started adding some three word phrases to his book - "Thank you, mama/dadddaaaa", "I did it!", "Night night Thaddeus", "Oh shoot!", etc.
- Counts to ten?? Sometimes, if he feels like it. Helps with the ABCs pretty well too.
- He still is the ultimate mess maker - loves dumping everything out and not putting anything away. Sigh. Super fun with the tiny legos. Has no one invented an easy way to pick those up yet?
- Turns into a monster when he's tired/hungry. Like. Yikes.
- Baby Shark cures all in this house.
- YOU try hearing him say "paciiii" or "cookieee" in a sad sing-song voice and not give in. TRY IT.
Basics update. But he's growing and learning, still such a joy to be around. He's hilarious and smart, and still enjoys cuddles on his terms. A fantastic hug-giver, and the biggest fan of his brother. He likes running around and exploring. "Mine" is much more a thing now.
