I'm in denial.

No matter how long some days have been, this past year has flown by even faster than the ones before it. Can't life take it easy for one minute? Can't it see I'm trying to hold onto these moments?
But here we are. My baby's one.
It's been a good month. Everyone's stayed fairly healthy. Little coughs and sniffles. Atti's second tooth just popped through this week! That plus his next mental leap means sleep has been absolutely horrendous the past few days, but before that he was doing great. I have to remember that even on these terrible nights he usually does one 4-6 hour stretch, and he never used to do that. Slowly but surely.
He's officially a walker now. Not long after his 11 month birthday he was pretty much done with crawling. He walks all the time now, likes to do laps around the house. He's doing well in his new room at daycare. Even when he's super clingy.
I know a lot happened the past month, but I'm not having a lot of luck remembering. New York was amaaaazing. Friends, food, Waitress. I could talk about Waitress and Sara Bareilles for daaaays. I wouldn't even know where to start. And Kait, Olivia, and Jenny managed to not lose me. Loved it. Love them. And Mike and the boys survived at home without me (like I had any doubts). We also found out yesterday where Michael matched for his internship starting in August, and we don't have to move. Hooray! He's excited, he ended up exactly where he wanted to. I'm excited I get to put off the anxiety of moving and switching the boys schools for another year.
(Because Fall 2019 Thad will be starting KINDERGARTEN. YOU GUYS.)
Anywho. I took everyone out one of the 60 degree days a couple weeks ago and snapped some pictures. Atti lost his shoes at home before we left and we didn't notice so he went barefoot. Then I didn't tie his balloon tight enough so we lost that. It was a good time. Shows how much I have my shit together on a daily basis (aka not at all). They'll all be on FB, but here's my favorite, probably.

Not doing much for Atti's birthday today. Grocery shopping, birthday presents, and getting him some Orange Leaf. For Thad's birthday next Saturday we'll be making our first trip to Science City, and we're all pretty excited about that.

- According to my at-home measurements (well visits are on Monday...) Atti is right under 20 pounds, and 29.5 inches.
- Still in the same clothes. 18 month shirts, 12 month pants.
- This was the last week of daytime bottles. Still doing morning and bedtime, but will probably cut out the morning one next week, and then nighttime when we run out of formula. He's getting whole cow's milk, Fairlife milk, and Pediasure. He loves them all.
- Does great with any sippy or straw cup. Though sometimes he just spits whatever he's drinking out.
- Maybe going through a growth spurt, but he's being a great eater. He downed his sweet potato gnocchi and sausage this week. And the taco meat.
- Being down to one nap is amazing. He still struggles a bit in the morning (especially if he wakes up at 5am) but he's consistently sleeping 1.5-2.5 hours at noon.
- Hair's coming in strong now! Rocking the baby mullet.
- Big fan of throwing things, removing all books from the bookshelf, all toys from the toy boxes.
- Loves to say "Uh oh!". Also does good with "dada". Professional screamer.
- Kind of does his own sign for "more". Loves saying "mmmm!" when eating.
- ORNERY. Holy cow. Knows when he's doing something he shouldn't. Does it anyway and smiles at me.
- Daddy and Thad are the most hilarious people ever.
- Ultimate (sleep) fighter
And there we are. 12 months of Atti. The end of my 365 picture project on Instagram. Thanks to everyone for everything the past year. Much love from all four of us.
