"Girl you got me trippin on sunshine. God knows you just made my day. Since you came around, no, I just can't slow down, no, I wanna see you walkin' my way."
-"Runnin' on Sunshine" by Jesus Jackson
My current dance tune. But I make sure I'm alone before I do. Don't need to blind anybody.
I'm in disbelief that it is April. March was here and gone in no time. Soon it's going to be summertime. And I am still without an internship for the summer. I'm still applying for them, but at this point I'm not holding my breath. If this means I have to stay in Manhattan this summer and do the barista thing, than so be it. It means I could have a harder time finding a job after I graduate next year, but... what can you do. I'm trying not to stress about it. I'm doing what's in my control, what's meant to be will be.
Otherwise, not much else is new around here. I bought a keyboard (electronic piano) today with my tip money. I can read notes, but seeing as I'm only used to reading one line of music instead of two, I can't play very well. But I'm hoping to learn and someday own a real piano that I'll make my kids take lessons on. I've got some music printed off, and I bought the Next to Normal vocal selections. Which is obviously way outta my league, but I've got part of one song down. Baby steps, right?
Things are good here. I try not to stress about everything. I try to stop and take in how beautiful everything is now that it's blooming. See?
I remind myself how blessed I am that me and my family are healthy and doing well. How I really have nothing to complain about. Remember to laugh at myself, not take myself too seriously. Life is pretty ridiculous.
Hm. That was a couple sentences of nonsense. Oh well. I think it's cause I should be sleeping...
